Antioch High School Youth Group
Antioch Community Groups
Community Groups are small groups where teens from St. Jude can grow in friendship, share their authentic self, and learn who God is and what His dreams are for them.
Groups started in January and will go through May, but anyone can join at anytime. Contact Jacob to get connected.
On the first or second Sunday of each month, we have "Antioch Nights." Each night is different, but most times we play games, listen to music, and talk life, AND we always have food, friendship, and fun! This is open to any teen - Catholic or not. All are welcome!
Email Jacob with your phone number. He will add you to our GroupMe group, so you can know about the next Antioch Night.
Next Antioch Night:
Sunday, March 1 from 6-7:30pm
Antioch is the name of our high school youth group at St. Jude. It's a name with meaning and history and that sets the tone for the community we're forming.
Antioch was a city in ancient Syria and became an important place in the early Church. Here's what we read in Scripture about Antioch...
Acts 11:19 "Now those who had been scattered by the persecution...went as far as Phoenica, Cyprus, and Antioch." >>Antioch was a refuge, a safe place.
Acts 11:20 "...came to Antioch and began to speak to the Greeks as well, proclaiming the Lord Jesus." >>Antioch was open to all, welcoming, and diverse.
Acts 11:22-23 Barnabas arrived "saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all..." >>God, joy, & encouragement were all present in Antioch.
Acts 11:26 "...it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians" >>Antioch stood out from other communities.
Acts 13:1-3 "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting...Then,...they laid hands on them and sent them off." >>Paul and Barnabas began their first missionary journey being sent from Antioch.
