Developing and sustaining Small Church Communities is a response to the signs of our times. Even before social distancing we were preparing to begin SCC. In a large parish such as ours, and at a time in the world when Catholic values are counter cultural, there is a need to deepen our sense of community, grow in our spiritual lives and support one another as we strive to be disciples of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.
Additionally, during this time of social distancing, we long even more to connect to one another, make sense of how God is working in our lives during this unprecedented time and to help each other maintain a sense of hope. We have SCC forming each week. Contact Tammy Stewart to join a community.
Are you helping a friend, neighbor, or family member with bill paying, doctor visits, meals, medicine, etc.? Do you feel alone in what you are doing or at loss with how to best help? Join us on June 2 on Zoom from 6:30 to 8:00 PM to discuss “The Feelings of Caregiving”. Please watch this video at your convenience at sometime before the Zoom meeting. We will share thoughts about the video, talk about difficulties during Covid-19, and any other concerns of the group.
Please contact Patti Collins at for the Zoom link to join!
At Masses on this weekend, there will be a special second collection to support Archdiocesan seminarian education. All education, especially seminarian education, is an important investment in the future of the church. Financial support is a way we can help equip our future priests.
If you're not able to be at Mass in person this weekend, you can still make a financial gift to support our seminarians through the secure portal linked in the button below.
Besides giving, other ways you can support seminarians and future seminarians is through prayer and encouragement. Read some of the ideas on this poster.
St. Jude is hosting a Blood Drive in the Apostles' Rooms on Sunday, June 14 from 9am-1pm. In times of crisis we lift each other up and ensure a safe and caring place for our neighbors. Due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 in our communities and hospitals now increasing surgery schedules, we are facing an immediate need for blood.
There is no substitute for the lifesaving gift of blood. Schedule an appointment in advance now!
As part of recent state-mandated regulations, we require all donors to wear personal masks or face coverings.
Are you unemployed? Looking for a job? Trying to hire employees, but struggling to find them?
