St. Jude Catholic School operates as an extension of the family to unite faith and educational excellence through Gospel values, high educational standards, prayer and sacraments. The School Commission serves as a consultative body for the pastor and school administrator on matters concerning the school. Members are selected yearly utilizing discernment process and serve a 3-year term. The members are selected based upon skills, work interests and expertise they can bring to the commission.

Our grade school has been providing Catholic education since 1959. A complete core academic curriculum is offered, as well as physical education, art, music, language and computer classes. A tutor is available for those students who may need one. The school is fully accredited by the state of Indiana and comprises Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Many types of extracurricular activities are also available. A quality after-school care program is offered for those families who have a need for this service. While academic excellence is stressed, we realize that justification for our existence depends on the Christian attitudes and values that we impart. To that end, a strong academic education is combined with spiritual and moral training. Our goal is to prepare each student to meet the challenges he or she will face at each level of development.

Sponsored by the PTO, Market Day is an opportunity to purchase quality food items through mail order. Order forms are available through school and also online @ marketday.com. It is a simple procedure. You fill out the form and turn it in by mail, through school, or in the collection basket. On the appointed Saturday, you pick up and pay for your order in the cafeteria. You receive fine quality foods that are 100% guaranteed, while supporting the fund-raising efforts of the PTO. Volunteers are always needed!!
Parent Teacher Organization

If you have children at St. Jude School, the PTO will provide you the link between school and home. Its purpose is to establish a close working relationship between parents and school and to provide the needed funding so that together they may strive to improve and promote the high standards of Catholic education. All parents are invited to become members and take part in this very active group. Meetings are announced in the school newsletter. Other officers include: Vicki Rohrman, Donitta Barrer, and Jennifer Quinn.
SCRIP Program

Fundraising program for our entire parish that works while you shop and also gives back to our school and parish. SCRIP (substitute money) is gift certificates or gift cards from national and local retailers that you can purchase throu St. Jude PTO. Ordering is available in the Narthex or online at www.shopwithscrip.com. SCRIP does not accept credit or debit cards. Payment must be received in check or money order (payable to St. Jude PTO) prior to weekly order deadline. Order deadline is each Monday at 12:00noon. Orders will be ready for pick up at the parish center or school each Friday at 12:00noon. You may place your order online or via paper form. If you place your order online, you must have your payment to the parish center prior to order deadline. PAYMENT MUST ACCOMPANY ALL PAPER ORDER FORMS.
