New Seven Steps to Becoming Financially Free

7 Steps to Becoming Financially Free (using video, small faith sharing, reading and workbook real life exercises) walks you through the Catholic teachings regarding wealth, being good stewards and trusting God's plan, and then launches you into solution after solution of managing your money effectively.  Here is how to take the gifts God has given you -- your skills, your education, your training, and your income -- and using them as He intended. Here is how to not just get out of debt and begin saving, but to wisely and deliberately set budgeting priorities and achieve financial goals that reflect what you believe as a Catholic.

Runs every other Tuesday, Sept 18- Dec11, 6:30pm in the school conference room.  Registration has begun, see form below.

Brochure for the Seminar

Although many of us may not want to face them, end of life issues may break into our life at any time.  Whether we are dealing with the issues facing an elderly parent or a sudden illness or accident of a close family member, it is important that all of us educate ourselves on the issues before they become critical and deal with decisions such as having a Living Will before it is too late.

This seminar will bring together several experts that work with people in these areas everyday; doctor, nurse, spiritual caregiver, priest and lawyer, so that they can give us some insight into the issues.  Each person will give a little background on their perspective and then everyone will engage in looking at real life scenarios to flesh out what these decisions really involve.

Seder Supper

When: Sunday, March 16th, at 5:30

Where: At St. Jude Cafeteria

Speaker: Father Steve Banet

Cost: $5.00 per person to cover the meal

Registration: clic here for registration form

Menu: To be Determined

The Seder Supper is the traditional Jewish ceremonial meal commemorating the Israelites’ Passover to freedom from their Egyptian slavery.  The synoptic Gospels link this tradition to Jesus’ Last Supper with His disciples.  “When the day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread arrived, the day for sacrificing the Passover lamb,  he sent out Peter and John, instructing them, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover." (Luke 22:7-8).

Come learn first hand what this important ceremonial meal is all about by living it.  Father Steve will lead us through a complete Seder Supper pointing out the connections to Jesus’ last supper and our Eucharist celebration.
